Elevate Greater Akron is the product of a first-ever collaboration between the County of Summit, City of Akron, Greater Akron Chamber and GAR Foundation. These entities came together to create a transformative, high-functioning, and collaborative economic development system for Greater Akron. Informed by extensive market research, local interviews, and insights from peer cities, Elevate Greater Akron was born in 2018.

Elevate Greater Akron leaders are committed to a shared vision and set of priorities and metrics which intersect with our own work and aim to advance economic growth and opportunity for all residents. We seek to transform the culture of economic development and capitalize on opportunities that catapult the Greater Akron region toward a new trajectory in a rapidly changing world.
